• Cosmetology

     

    The objective of the Cosmetology program is to train students in the basic skills required to pass the State Board of Cosmetology examination. After the Cosmetology student successfully passes the state examination he/she will receive a master license and become elligible to work in the state of Georgia in the cosmetology industry.

    The Basic Cosmetology program requirements are as follows:

    * Theory 350
    * Cutting/Shaping 125
    * Shampoo Styling Comb-out 280
    * Color Bleach 140
    * Hair/Scalp Treatment 50
    * Permanent Waving 180
    * Facial Make-up Arching 55
    * Charm Reception Ethics 50
    * Manicure 90
    * Relaxer 100
    * Laboratory 50
    * Hair Removal 30

  • Cosmetology Instructor

     

    The objective of the Cosmetology Instructor Program is to train the cosmetologist in the skills necessary to effectively teach the principles of Cosmetology, as a profession. Emphasis is placed on aspects of theory and practice of cosmetology in the teaching of skills. Instructor trainees will be under the direct supervision of a licensed instructor at all times. The curriculum for Cosmetology Instructor training course shall be completed within one (1) year and 750 hours of training as state below:

    * Teaching Techniques 225
    * General Education 250
    * Practice Teaching 275

  • Barber

     

    The objective of the Barber program is to train students in the skills required to pass the State Board of Barbers examination. After the Barber student successfully passes the state examination he/she will receive a master license and become eligible to work in the state of Georgia in the barber industry.

    The Basic Barbering program requirements are as follows:

    * Theory 480
    * Styling/Cutting 500
    * Shaving 25
    * Shampooing 5
    * Facials 10
    * Scalp Treatment 10
    * Chemical Application 270
    * Optional 200

  • Barber Instructor

     

    The objective of the Barber Instructor Program is to train the barber in the skills necessary to effectively teach Barbering, as a profession. Emphasis is placed on aspects of theory and practice of barbering in the teaching of skills. Instructor trainees will be under the direct supervision of a licensed instructor at all times. Seven and one-half months of evening attendance is required by the Georgia State Board.

    The Barber Instructor program requirements are as follows:

    * Practice Teaching 300
